A 32-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on Tollgate Road in Richland Township.
Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck identified the woman as Megan Rose Allen of Trumbauersville. Her cause and manner of death are under investigation by the Coroner’s office.
Richland Township Police Chief Richard J. Ficco, Sr. said the accident occurred just before 11 a.m. on Tollgate Road between Maple Lawn Lane and Richland Terrace, where there are a series of “s” curves. He said a misty rain had been falling.
Ficco said Allen’s Volkswagen Jetta crossed the highway and was struck by a box truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, he said.
The driver of the box truck was not injured, the chief said. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Ficco said the crash is under investigation by the Bucks County District Attorney’s crash team.
