Thompson Memorial Presbyterian slates MLK Day of Service events

Posted

Those looking for a way to serve the local community and others around the world are invited to join Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church in New Hope when it marks MLK day with a weekend of programming.
On Sunday Jan. 16, there will be worship services and a special workshop led by the Rev. Dr. Sanford Hull about the Equal Justice Initiative.
An all-ages MLK Day of Service will take place Monday Jan. 17, featuring a free breakfast, a musical performance by Parkway Drumline, an educational wealth gap simulator, and opportunities to participate in service projects benefiting communities across the globe.

TMP will partner with organizations like Rise Against Hunger, World Vision, and Fisherman’s Mark.
Students can earn community service hours, and families can show their children how to give back. For information, and to sign up to participate, visit tmpc.org/mlk.
