Thompson Memorial Presbyterian sets MLK Day of Service

Posted

Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church in New Hope is hosting its second annual MLK Day of Service from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15.

This is an all-ages event featuring a free breakfast at 9 a.m.; a musical performance by Mad Beatz Drumline; speaker Sean McFadden, of Urban Promise, Trenton, N.J.; an educational wealth gap simulator; and opportunities to participate in service projects, like the Burrito Bonanza, where the goal is to assemble 1,000 burritos to benefit the community.

Students can earn community service hours and families can show their children how to give back. For information and to register to participate, visit tmpc.org/mlk.
