The Weight Band rocks Musikfest Cafe in January

The Weight Band, composed of members of roots rock act The Band and members of the Levon Helm Band, hits the stage at the Musikfest Cafe on Friday, Jan. 14.
Forging ahead in the tradition of classic Americana, the group released its first original album titled “World Gone Mad” in 2018. Last spring the act released an acoustic live record.
The Weight Band is led by Jim Weider, a 15-year former member of The Band and the Levon Helm Band.

Their live set features Weight Band songs from “World Gone Mad” as well as fan favorites from The Band’s treasured catalog, including “Up On Cripple Creek,” “The Weight,” and “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.”
The Weight Band includes Brian Mitchell (The Levon Helm Band), Michael Bram (Jason Mraz), Matt Zeiner (Dickey Betts Band), and Albert Rogers (The Jim Weider Band).
Tickets for The Weight Band at Musikfest Café, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, are available through The Weight Band website and at bit.ly/3s33yq2.
