The Ladies of Pennypacker Mills opens; gallery talk set

Posted

“The Ladies of Pennypacker Mills,” running through Monday, Jan. 29, explores the lives of the vibrant, well-educated, and accomplished women whose lives continued beyond the Pennypacker family name.

Throughout the exhibit, which opened this week, visitors will learn a more intimate history of each of these women through their personal belongings, such as letters, family scrapbooks, photographs, and so much more.

The exhibit is located on the second floor galleries and is included on all guided tours. All ages are welcome to visit the free exhibition at Pennypacker Mills, 5 Haldeman Road, Schwenksville.

All ages also are welcome to attend a free, in-depth gallery talk on “The Ladies of Pennypacker Mills,” at 1 p.m. both Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5.

View personal belongings of Virginia, Josephine, Anna Maria, and Eliza while listening to an intimate retelling of who these women were, their interests and hobbies, and the impact these ladies had.

The Gallery Talk will be located on the second floor of the Pennypacker mansion.
