The Cemetery Club opening at Acting Naturally Theatre

Posted

The comedy “The Cemetery Club” takes the stage at the Acting Naturally Theatre, 164 N. Flowers Mill Road (at the Shoppes at Flowers Mill), Langhorne, for four performances starting at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.

“The Cemetery Club,” written by Ivan Menchell, is the comedically witty play about three Jewish widows who meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands graves.

Ida (played by Ann D’Silva of Newtown) is sweet tempered and ready to begin a new life; Lucille (played by Linda Gold of Newtown) is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun; and Doris (played by Gina Stevens of Newtown) is priggish and judgmental, particularly when Sam, the butcher (played by Jay Steinberg of Phoenixville) enters the scene. Rounding out the cast, playing the role of Mildred, is Anita Getz (of Levittown).

“The Cemetery Club” is presented by Acting Naturally and directed by Maryann Wylie.

The Cemetery Club runs for four performances through Sunday, Feb. 19 at Acting Naturally Theatre. Call 267-798-9165 or visit ActingNaturally.com to purchase tickets.
