St. Jude’s parishioners volunteer for Caring for Friends

Posted

Families and individuals from St. Jude Church in Chalfont recently volunteered their time to Caring for Friends food program to make hundreds of snack bags for homebound, homeless, and hungry neighbors.

Snack bags consist of six to nine items, including a breakfast and a fruit item, plus a drink, as well as a hand-drawn caring note to help lift the client’s spirits.

As inflation continues to break people’s budgets, Caring for Friends seeks volunteers and donations to help feed friends in need by holding their own packing events or food drives, or coming to cook or pack food at Caring for Friends’ Northeast Philadelphia warehouse.
