Sinkhole repair to close Apple Road in Richland, Haycock townships

Posted

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe replacement and roadway repair will close Apple Road in Haycock and Richland townships due to a sinkhole.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Beginning after 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, through Friday, Jan. 20, Apple Road will be closed and detoured approaching Beck Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Union Road, Main Street, Route 212 (Church Road), Pullen Station Road and Old Bethlehem Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
