Silent auction featuring plein air works and more benefits Lambertville Historical Society

Plein Air Plus, the art auction and local happening in the Lambertville-New Hope area, is back and more elegant than ever in 2023.

Offering artistic interpretations of historic Lambertville, N.J., and neighboring river towns, the annual fundraiser by the Lambertville Historical Society will take place at Rago Arts and Auction House, 333 Cherry St., Lambertville, from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 4.

This year offers an exclusive variety of styles, mediums and studio works of the surrounding area by local artists. More than 40 works of art will be featured during the Plein Air Plus event, held as a silent auction and benefiting the Lambertville Historical Society and the James Marshall House Museum.

All works will be on display, and minimum bids will be set. Bidding will close at 7 p.m. sharp, with winners announced by 7:30 p.m. Plein Air Plus will also feature live music by local band The Lifters, hors d’ oeuvres and beverages. There is a $20 suggested donation, $10 donation for LHS members.

Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Lambertville Historical Society and the James Marshall House Museum. Parking is available in the rear of the building accessed via Cherry Street.
