Sign installation planned on Stump Road in Plumstead Township

Posted

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that sign installation will occur on Stump Road in Plumstead Township, under a project to install safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction: Monday, Aug. 28, through Friday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a periodic weekday lane closure is scheduled on Stump Road between Worthington and Silo Hill roads.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, is the general contractor on this $7.5 million project, which is financed with 100% federal funds.
