Posted

For the second consecutive year, Sesame Place Philadelphia has partnered with United Way of Bucks County to organize the Back to School Bash School Supply Drive.

From Aug. 28-Sept. 1, the Langhorne park will collect new backpacks, juice boxes and classroom cleaning supplies, including disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer and boxes of tissues.

Guests who donate a new backpack 17 inches or larger will receive $10 Sesame Cash, and guests who donate either four juice boxes or two classroom cleaning items will receive $5 Sesame Cash. There is a $15 Sesame Cash limit per household. Sesame Cash is valid only on the day it is receive and can be used on purchases of food or merchandise.

United Way of Bucks County will distribute donations to local families and schools in need.

Sesame Place Philadelphia has worked with the United Way of Bucks County since 2013, participating in the United Way’s annual holiday initiatives and Stuff the Bus events.

The Back to School Bash School Supply Drive will coincide with the park’s Back to School Bash, where park guests can experience a week of fun Aug. 28-Sept. 1 before school starts. For an extra special treat, guests can reserve the Back to School Bash Dine with Elmo & Friends, where Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Count von Count all share their favorite parts of going to school and celebrate all the ways that school rules.

Guests can splish and splash on their favorite Sesame Street-themed water attractions, including Bert & Ernie’s Splashy Shores and Big Bird’s Beach, both introduced in May as part of the park’s Most Splashtacular Season Ever, running now through Sunday, Sept. 10.
