A Family Fun Package ($1,700 value), donated by Sesame Place of Langhorne to Gather Place at the Old A.M.E. Church in Yardley will be raffled off as part of a fundraiser.
The Gather Place fundraiser is open to the public; stop by and make a $10 donation at 188 S. Canal St., Yardley, or make a $10 donation online at gatherplace.org/sesame-place-gift-package. Each $10 donation ticket offers a chance to win this family fun opportunity.
Gather Place will randomly select a ticket from all donation tickets and notify the lucky winner at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24.
Built in 1877, by African Americans who crossed over the nearby Delaware River from Trenton, N.J., and settled in what was then called Yardleyville, the historic landmark is being restored through donations and grants.
