The Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle and the ActorsNET of Bucks County present two nights of a special modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s “The Merry Wives of Windsor.”
Shows are 7-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the grounds of Fonthill Castle, 525 E. Court St., Doylestown, rain or shine. Tickets are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable, so plan accordingly.
Shakespeare’s bright and breezy comedy of sexual jealousy, where clever women are forced to put up with dull, egocentric men, is given a 1960s sitcom reboot. Delight as the fun plays out against a landscape of summer resort leisure and that new “dirty dancing” music trend.
Preferred Seating is $30; Lawn Seating is $20. Parking available on-site. Enter at Swamp Road (Route 313) entrance, between North Street and East Court Street, and follow parking signs.
