Secretary Siger gives “State of the State” address to Central Bucks Chamber

The Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Friday welcomed Rick Siger to Bucks County for its “State of the State” address at Delaware Valley University.

Siger is the Secretary of the PA Department of Community and Economic Development for the Shapiro administration.

During his keynote address, Siger discussed current macroeconomic indicators, recent accomplishments of the DCED, his budget priorities for 2023-24, Pennsylvania’s economic development strategy and how they tie in with Bucks County businesses.

Also in attendance were state Sen. Frank Farry, R-6, and Steve Santarsiero, D-10, state Rep. Tim Brennan, D-29, Rep. Shelby Labs, R-143, Rep. Brian Munroe, D-144, and Rep. Perry Warren, D-31, who served as panelists at the event and discussed key issues shaping Bucks County’s future. Moderating the forum was Alex Halper, VP of Government Affairs for the PA Chamber of Business and Industry.

County Commissioners Bob Harvie and Diane Ellis-Marseglia also attended.

The State of the State address was sponsored by Independence Blue Cross, C&N Bank and Comcast.

“It’s inspiring to see how our government is working towards a brighter future for all Bucks County businesses and residents,” the chamber’s post read.
