RunWalkBark4Dreams 5K run, walk slated at Tyler State Park

Sunshine Foundation is hosting its 22nd annual RunWalkBark4Dreams 5K fun run and 2-mile walk on Saturday, May 18 at Tyler State Park in Richboro.

The family-friendly event is for everyone, including dogs. Para athletes are encouraged.

The $15 entry fee per adult or child benefits the Sunshine Foundation to make children’s dreams come true. Registration opens at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. 5K start; the 2-mile walk starts immediately after runners.

Participants of the 22nd annual RunWalkBark4Dreams will raise funds to make Zachary’s dream come true. Zachary, age 9, with Down syndrome, dreams of visiting Disney World to meet Mickey Mouse.

Sunshine Foundation answers dreams to children with life-long severe chronic illnesses and conditions such as: spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Level 3 severe autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, trauma from abuse, and others.

To make these dreams a reality for children that may be turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis, Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations.
