The Doylestown Rugby Academy high school boys team fell to Berks County Rugby on May 7 in the quarterfinals of the RugbyPA State Championships.

The final score was 64-17.

Try scorers for Doylestown were Cade Aivazian (one), Nolan Corey (one) and Bailey O’Malley (one). O’Malley also kicked one conversion.

The Doylestown Rugby Academy junior boys team defeated previously unbeaten Montgomery Bucks on May 7. At halftime, the Dragons led 28-0. The final score of the home league match was 54-0. Try scorers for Doylestown were: Joey Craig (three), Louie Cipollo (one), Timmy Fuhrmeister (one), Aaron Kelly (one), Qwan James (one) and Alex Stukis (one). Craig kicked seven conversions. Doylestown finished 5-0 in league play and will host a semifinal playoff game in the RugbyPA State Championships on May 14 at the home pitch, Maennerchor Field, 3650 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown.

The Doylestown Rugby Academy youth boys team won its biggest game of the season so far on May 7. In their fifth league match of the season, the host Dragons defeated Montgomery Bucks, 62-12, building on a halftime lead of 31-7.

Try scorers were: Brady Flynn (two), Brexton Van Antwerp (two), Hunter Pulford (two), Brady Meehan (two), Cross Cervellero (one) and Roman Wade (one). Conor Cassidy kicked six conversions. On Sunday, Doylestown will travel to College Settlement Camp Field in Horsham to take on its league rival, Blackthorn, in the RugbyPa State Championship playoffs.
