Rory Edward McCafferty passed away on Sunday June 19, 2022 at the age of 69.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., to Joseph and Elizabeth (Hyland) McCafferty, Rory was predeceased by his parents and brother, Brian McCafferty. Rory is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dianna (Zolted), four stepchildren, Jennifer Davis (Brian), James, Steven Adamson (Danielle) and Jessica Adamson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Caleb, Alexis, Hannah, Sebastian, Steven, Killian, Mason, Gavin and Colton and his brothers and sisters, Kevin McCafferty, Karen Robinson, Siobhan McCafferty, Patrick McCafferty (Donna) and Tara Hyland as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Rory graduated from St. Andrews in Newtown, Pa., in 1966 and Cathedral High School of Trenton, N.J., in 1970. Rory also graduated from Northwood Institute of Michigan where he studied business. Rory then joined his father in the family business and worked beside him for many years at McCafferty Ford in Langhorne, Pa., and in Trenton, N.J.
Besides being a lifelong car enthusiast, Rory enjoyed gardening, cooking, Sunday drives, the beach, long walks with his dogs and mostly going to football and baseball games and concerts that his grandchildren participated in.
Funeral arrangements are private.
