Ronald G. Fox

Ronald G. Fox, 81, of Springfield Twp., PA passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Quakertown Center.

He was born January 16, 1942 in Easton, Pa., and was a son of the late George and Irene (Wolfe) Fox.

Ron was a 1960 graduate of Palisades High School where he played the tuba and trumpet in the band. Throughout his life Ron had many jobs including farming, delivering feed for Riegel’s Feed Mill, driving a school bus for the Palisades School District, working as instrument man for Riegel Paper Company, working as instrument and control technician for Jersey Central Power and Light and Durham Twp., Roadmaster. He also worked part time as the Deputy PA Fish Warden for many years. He was a member of the Springtown Rod and Gun club where he served as co-op manager of the fish hatchery for 50 years. In April of 2022 the hatchery was named the Ron Fox Trout Co-op Nursery in honor of his service. He was a charter member and past president of the Harer’s Hunting Camp which originated in 1974. He was past president and past state president of the Coachman E-Z Goers Camping Club and was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Durham. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his travels camping and relaxing in Wellsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Katharina, of 57 years; his children, Ronald and Amy Fox (Curt Bush); his brother, Robert Fox and nieces and nephews.

It was Ronald’s wish to be cremated with services to be held at a later time.
