Tomlinson named to Friends of Burlington Island Board

Posted

The Friends of Burlington Island (FOBI) Board of Trustees voted to appoint recently retired Pennsylvania State Senator Robert “Tommy” Tomlinson to its board earlier this year.

Tomlinson fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Donald McCloskey.

The Friends of Burlington Island works to preserve the Delaware River island in its natural state, yet make it available to be enjoyed by visitors, naturalists and environmentalists.

According to a press release, Tomlinson said he was “looking forward to serving on the FOBI Board of Trustees and helping the board preserve and protect this jewel in the Delaware River” and “…sharing what I’ve learned over the years about how nonprofit organizations and government can help each other.”
