Robert C. Haag, age 80, passed away Nov. 3 from cancer.

Robert “Bob” Haag was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Adolph and Theresa (Christy) Haag.

Robert lived in Philadelphia, Pa., and Huntingdon Valley, Pa., before retiring to Chattanooga, Tenn. After graduating from Lincoln High School and Lehigh University he became a CPA and spent the majority of his career as the CFO, treasurer of Pringle Electrical Manufacturing Company where his daughter later joined him as controller.

Robert had an infectious smile, a consistent positive outlook and was a wonderful storyteller. He enjoyed golf, tennis and sailing before becoming an avid bicyclist and completing thirty-one consecutive RAGBRAI rides across the state of Iowa. His most recent RAGBRAI was done in 2019. He served as treasurer of Riverton Yacht club for eight years, was a member of the A-Liner Club and a member of a few bike clubs including the Donner Party.

Robert is survived by his daughter Sharon Anderson (Clint), his grandson Cole Anderson, former wife Frances Haag, brother John “Jack” Haag and his life partner Kathleen Singer, her son Ross (Selena) and her grandchildren Isaac and Isabel. He meant so much to so many and will be missed by countless family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held privately, and a Celebration of Life will be held in June at his daughter’s home in Hilltown Township.
