Fran Epstein has been awarded the Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia’s V award.

The award, named for the late Dr. Venerando Jaurigue, is given to a brave, heroic and courageous individual who has given selflessly to the community. This individual has impeccable character and is viewed as a leader.

Epstein has worked for Bristol Myers Squibb as an executive institutional tumor specialist in the oncology division for the past 25 years. In this role she educates physicians and their staff on the most up-to-date data for the patients.

Her passion is helping people with cancer get to the best physicians and making sure they get the best treatments that are available for their type of cancer.

Epstein received the award at this year’s Swing for Cancer Golf Tournament on Oct. 17 at North Hills Country Club for her ongoing support of and contributions to Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia.

Epstein and her husband, Perry, live in Richboro.
