The community is invited to join the youth of the Rainbow Room, Youth4Unity and the local PFLAG chapter for “Protect Trans Kids in Schools,” from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Rainbow Room in Doylestown.
There will be speakers, live music, candles, art, and a call to action. "While details of the tragic death of nonbinary student, Nex Benedict, are still coming out – what is clear is that transgender students are targeted with bullying and violence at disproportionate rates and deserve to be protected in schools."
School board members from all 13 Bucks County districts have been invited. Security will be tight. Outrage, grief, solidarity and love will be strong.
