Princeton Clergy sponsor Multi-faith MLK service

Posted

The Princeton Clergy Association sponsors the annual Multifaith Service in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, the federal holiday designated to honor his birthday.

The service will be at Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau St., across from Palmer Square. There is no parking lot at the church, so parking may be challenging. Paid parking garages on Chambers, Spring and Hulfish streets, and on-street meter parking are closest. Attendees are urged to arrive early.

The preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Deborah Blank, pastor of Mt. Pisgah AME Church in Princeton, N.J, and former associate dean in Princeton University’s Office of Religious Life. Attendees are encouraged to bring their children.

Diverse faith leaders will co-lead the liturgy, and area choirs and musicians will also participate. During the service, a freewill offering will be received, which will be split equally between the United Negro College Fund and the Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action.

The service is free and open to the public and is co-sponsored by Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA). For information, visit peacecoalition.org or call 609-924-5022.
