Posted

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Spinnerstown will host a Pork & Sauerkraut Dinner Nov. 4, with proceeds benefiting the Quakertown-area food programs the church supports.

Dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, 1565 Sleepy Hollow Road, Spinnerstown, in Milford Township (for GPS, Quakertown, 18951).

On the menu are pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, corn, applesauce, dinner rolls, homemade desserts, coffee, tea and iced tea. Takeout will be available but must be pre-ordered by Nov. 2 at noon. Call the church at 215-536-0734 or send an e-mail to stjohnsspinnerstown@gmail.com and give name, phone number, number of meals needed and desired time of pick-up (between 4 and 7 p.m.).

The cost of the dinner is $13; $10 for children 5 to 12; free for those under 5. Pay at the door for both dining in and takeout.

Proceeds will benefit the “Backpack for Pumas” weekend food project at Pfaff Elementary, St. John’s neighborhood school, and two community dinner programs for food insecure individuals and families – “Food for Friends” and “Loaves and Fishes” – ventures in which St. John’s participates.

For information and directions, visit www.stjohnsofspinnerstown.org or call the church at 215-536-0734.
