Pine Run Villagers Association awards scholarships

Posted

The Pine Run Villager Association recently hosted its second annual scholarship award ceremony and reception. Scholarships were presented to 17 students employed in Pine Run Retirement Community’s dining services department.

Hailing from Central Bucks West, Central Bucks South, and Pennridge high schools, each high school senior received $2,023 to use toward post-secondary education. The money was raised by the Pine Run Villagers Association.

“All of us appreciate the hard work, dedication, and friendly attitudes of our young associates who work in our dining rooms and kitchens,” said Jim Eidson, President of the Pine Run Villagers Association. “Many of these young people have been members of the Pine Run team throughout their high school careers, and we wanted to recognize them for their service and support them as they pursue their educational goals.”

Following are the students who received scholarship funds:

• Allison Fenley

• Amanda LeFevre

• Ashley Allen

• Caroline Murphy

• Danica Happel

• Daniel Gannon

• Ella Rosica

• Grace Donovan

• Isabella Gaumond

• Jack Hawley

• Jake O’Donnell

• Katie Manibo

• Krystian Krezel

• Lauren Flynn

• Riley Gilbert

• Sara Christie

• Tekalegn Leaf

To be eligible, associates had to have worked at least 350 hours over the past year, demonstrate post-high school plans, and be employees in good standing.

Applicants submitted two essays to the Pine Run Villagers Association highlighting their career goals and how working at Pine Run will help them achieve these goals.
