Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition submissions deadline approaches

Posted

The Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition is accepting submissions now through Feb. 28.
Bob Krist, the internationally-acclaimed National Geographic and Smithsonian photographer will serve as juror. Up to six images may be submitted online through the Phillips’ Mill website via Smarter Entry at phillipsmill.org/photography/pmpe-call-for-art. Call for Art details can be found there as well.
The Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition will take place April 2 to 22. This will be the first time since its founding that the prestigious photography show will be seen both on site at the historic Phillips’ Mill at 2619 River Road, Solebury, and online and accessible to the world, at phillipsmill.org/photography/photo-exhibition.
Established in 1991 to promote photography as a fine art, the juried exhibition celebrates “Photography as Art, Photographer as Artist” as its recurring theme. Over the years, the show has grown and gained worldwide recognition. It continues to attract extraordinary talent and is now considered the premier annual juried photography exhibition in Bucks County and beyond.
With Krist jurying the 2022 show, artists can be assured that their work will be considered by one of world’s finest, most discerning photographic artists. Krist’s work has taken him to more than 150 countries on all seven continents.

He’s won awards in the Pictures of the Year, Communication Arts and World Press Photo competitions, was named “Travel Photographer of the Year” by the Society of American Travel Writers three times, and was honored at the Eisenstadt Awards for Magazine Photography.
Krist’s latest book, “Old Souls & Timeless Places,” won the Best Travel Book of 2020 in the Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism competition sponsored by the Journalism School at the University of Missouri.
“With a camera in hand, Bob’s infectious smile and affable demeanor instantly open doors for him,” said Spencer Saunders, founder of the Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition. “The stories he tells and the photos he shares from inside those doors are riveting. Bob could make a trip to the hardware store sound and look spectacular!”
An opening night reception will be held at the Mill Friday, April 2; and A Meet and Greet Friday, April 15. Check the phillipsmill.org website for details about these and additional photo show events.
