Gratz Gallery & Conservation Studio Inc. is excited to announce our upcoming exhibition “Peter Miller – Forgotten Woman of American Modernism.” The discovery of the Peter Miller collection presented here, and her story, is one the most fascinating and important discoveries we have made over our 40 years representing American painters. Peter Miller was born Henrietta Myers, daughter of a wealthy and influential family from Hanover, Pennsylvania. Following her dream of becoming a painter, against her family's wishes, she created a legacy for herself in New York City, Philadelphia, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. We invite you to join us in the tribute and transformation from a forgotten to an acknowledged woman of American modernism.
