Pennridge changes date of forum to introduce new superintendent

Posted

The community forum with Pennridge's new superintendent has been moved from Wednesday to 7 p.m. Sept. 13. The deadline for submitting a question for newly hired Superintendent Angelo Berrios has been shifted from Sept. 3 to Sept. 6.

The location remains the same — the high school auditorium.

A statement the school district distributed announcing the rescheduled meeting on Thursday characterized the change as being due to a scheduling conflict.

The Pennridge School Board this week voted unanimously to hire Berrios to succeed Dr. David Bolton, who took a medical leave of absence in June and then announced he would retire at the end of October.

Berrios, a Bedminster resident and former U.S. Marine, has served as principal of Abington Senior High School in Montgomery County since 2013.

The community forum will be live-streamed, recorded, and made available online. The link to view the event will be available through the district.
