PennDOT to host virtual public meeting for bridge replacements in Richland Township

Posted

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to attend a live virtual public meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, for the upcoming project to replace the bridges that carry Route 309 (West End Boulevard) over Morgan Creek and Beaver Run in Richland Township.

Under this project, both structures will be constructed on the same alignment and built slightly longer to better accommodate stream flow. The bridges will also feature wider shoulders to improve travel and safety. Other improvements include updates to guide rail, barrier, signage, striping and drainage.

As part of PennDOT’s public outreach program, the department encourages the public to attend the live virtual public meeting by clicking on the Microsoft Live Teams meeting link at: https://www.penndot.pa.gov/RegionalOffices/district-6/ConstructionsProjectsAndRoadwork/BucksCounty/Pages/Route-309-over-Morgan-Creek-and-Beaver-Run-Bridge-Replacements.aspx prior to the presentation start time. The department’s design team will deliver a project presentation before opening the meeting to questions using the platform’s Q&A feature.

Internet access, a computer or mobile device, and a valid email address are required to view the virtual meeting. Anyone with special needs or requiring special aid is asked to contact PennDOT Project Manager Madeleine Fausto or Design Project Manager Jason Beecher.

Members of the public who are unable to attend the online meeting can view the recording and a copy of the materials on the project webpage following the presentation. The public can also provide feedback using the online comment form.
