Penn Community Bank CEO joins Bucks County Herald Foundation board

The Bucks County Herald Foundation has named Penn Community Bank president and CEO Jeane M. Vidoni to its board of directors.

Vidoni, a resident of Doylestown, has been president and CEO of Penn Community Bank, the largest independent, mutual bank in eastern Pennsylvania, since the bank’s creation in 2015. She currently leads a team of over 300 employees across the region.

“Jeane is an extraordinary champion for our community, and we are honored that she has chosen to devote her time and expertise to helping ensure the survival of local journalism in our community,” said Bridget Wingert, president of the Bucks County Herald Foundation.

Vidoni joins the Herald Foundation’s eight-member board at a time of unprecedented challenges for the newspaper industry, which the Herald confronted by adopting a nonprofit news model. Formed in 2020, the Bucks County Herald Foundation, a federally recognized charitable organization, raises money from readers, local businesses and national foundations to support the work of the Bucks County Herald’s news operations.

The board of directors is comprised of eight members: Bridget A. Wingert, the founding editor of the Bucks County Herald, Marv Woodall, a local philanthropist, Kay Rock, an author and community volunteer, Dr. Felicia Ganther, president of Bucks County Community College, Jennifer Lin, a journalist and documentarian, Jeffrey Nicholas, an attorney with the law firm of Fox Rothschild, Joe Wingert, the publisher of the Bucks County Herald, and now Vidoni.

Vidoni is active in a variety of charitable and banking organizations. She was recently appointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System to serve as president of the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council. She's a member of the Bucks County Workforce and Economic Development Board, past president of the board of directors of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the advisory council of Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County.
