Peddler’s Village slates Fire and Frost Fun celebrations

Peddler’s Village in Lahaska will host Fire & Frost Fun on select Friday and Saturday evenings in early January.

Against the backdrop of the village’s historical “winter wonderland” setting, the outdoor festival will feature dozens of ice sculptures, a DJ spinning party music and a family-friendly scavenger hunt. An ice throne designed for photo ops will grace the Village Green.

The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6; Saturday, Jan. 7; Friday, Jan. 13; and Saturday, Jan. 14. Jan. 14 is also the final night of the holiday lights display featuring a million colorful lights.

Additionally, Peddler’s Village shops and boutiques will present special January sales that will continue through the month. Admission and parking are free.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view dozens of handcrafted ice sculptures and to watch artists from Ice Concepts sculpt blocks of ice into art. Visitors can also enjoy fire artistry, fire breathing and juggling performed by members of the Philadelphia circus community, family activities, and outdoor food and drinks.

Live ice sculpting will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6; at 1 and 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7; at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13; and at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.

Families will also be able to participate in the village-wide Find Jack Frost scavenger hunt in which children can win free prizes; the scavenger hunts begin at 5 p.m. each evening. Hot cider will be available on the Village Green.
