Peddler’s Village Peach Festival to feature peach-themed food, drinks, and more

Peddler’s Village in Lahaska will host its annual Peach Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily Saturday, Aug. 5 and Sunday, Aug. 6.

The event will include peach pies, treats, and fritters; live music and entertainment; family activities; and shop specials. Admission and parking are free.

The festival will include:

·Outdoor food and drinks from local food trucks and the Water Wheel Tent; an assortment of peach-themed food items and desserts, including pies, from the Village General Store; and cupcakes and baked goods from The Lucky Cupcake Company. Fresh local peaches will be available for purchase as will Peach Festival merchandise, t-shirts, and tote bags.

·Live entertainment and performances by several regional and national musicians including Hot Club of Philadelphia; Love? Said the Commander; Vintage Vibe; Rendition; and Nikki Briar Trio. Family-friendly performances will include the Pirates of Fortune’s Folly, Lolly Hopwood, Ridiculous Nicholas, and a magic show by Keith Crabbs.

·Sidewalk sales at more than a dozen Peddler’s Village shops, including: Artisans Gallery; Best Gift Idea Ever; Body Language Company; The Celtic Rose; Chico’s; Colt’s Sports Collectibles; Cotton Company; Fox and Holly; JaZams; Lace Silhouettes Lingerie; Lahaska Bookshop; The Lucky Cupcake Company; Pieces; Pine Wreath and Candle; Sunflowers; Tempus Cards & Gifts; The Mole Hole; The Soap Opera Company; Village Outfitters.

Throughout August, Peddler’s Village restaurants and eateries will offer peach-inspired food and drink specials, and outdoor concession stands, including the Water Wheel Tent, will offer peach-infused specials on weekends.

Stories in Sand, a summer-long display featuring larger-than-life sand sculptures of beloved childhood stories and characters, will continue through Aug. 31.

Peddler’s Village will host a Winnie-the-Pooh Family Brunch Sunday, Aug. 13 (reservations required), while shops are presenting free Storytime Saturdays through the remainder of the sand sculpture display.

This fall, Peddler’s Village will celebrate its 44th annual Scarecrows in the Village competition and display with a Scarecrow Kickoff Weekend Sept. 16 and 17. Philadelphia-area residents and organizations are invited to participate in the annual competition by submitting a scarecrow creation for a chance to win cash prizes. The Scarecrows in the Village display begins Sept. 11 and ends Oct. 29.
