PECO utility improvements scheduled on state highways across the region

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions in Bucks and Montgomery counties from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 17, through Friday, June 30.

In Bucks County:

- A weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between Trewigtown Road and Hilltown Pike in New Britain Township;

- A weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 232 (Windy Bush Road) between Aquetong Road and Pidcock Creek Road in Solebury Township;

- A weekday lane closure is scheduled on Hilltown Pike between Township Line Road and Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) in New Britain Township;

- A weekday lane closure is scheduled on New Galena Road between Barry Road and Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) in New Britain Township; and

- A weekday lane closure is scheduled on New Galena Road between Barry Road and Hilltown Pike in New Britain Township.

In Montgomery County:

- A weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between Walnut Street and Broad Street in Hatfield Township; and

- A weekday lane closure is scheduled on Doylestown Road between County Line Road and Meadow Glen Road in Montgomery Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
