PECO utility improvements scheduled in Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery counties

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions.

In Bucks County:

• Monday, March 11, through Wednesday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled on County Line Road between Lexington Avenue and Walnut Street, and Maple Avenue and Trewigtown Road in New Britain Township.

In Delaware County:

• Monday, March 11, through Tuesday, March 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on southbound U.S. 202 between Smithbridge and Ridge roads in Concord Township.

In Montgomery County:

• Friday, March 8, through Thursday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Evansburg Road at the intersection with Ridge Pike in Lower Providence Township.

• Friday, March 8, through Friday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Airy Street at the intersection with Tremont Avenue in Norristown Borough.

• Monday, March 11, through Friday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between Trewigtown Road and Orvilla Road in Hatfield Township.

• Monday, March 11, through Friday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Broad Street between Route 463 (Cowpath Road) and Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) in Hatfield Township.

• Monday, March 11, through Tuesday, June 11, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 611 (York Road) at the intersection with Homestead Road in Jenkintown Borough.

• Monday, March 11, through Wednesday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 463 (Cowpath Road) between Broad Street and Taylor Road in Hatfield and Montgomery townships.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
