Pearl S. Buck International and the Pearl S. Buck Volunteer Association host their first Lunar New Year Celebration, which will take place 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at the PSBI headquarters at 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie.

The free, family friendly event will feature games and activities for children of all ages as they learn about Lunar New Year, including who celebrates and how they celebrate.

2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. Activities throughout the afternoon include making binoculars and playing “I Spy” in the Pearl S. Buck House; learning to use chopsticks; making a Year of the Rabbit fan; building a statue puzzle; learning Chinese characters; learning about Lunar New Year and the Water Rabbit; and making a gift for children with special needs in Vietnam orphanages served by Pearl S. Buck International.
