Patricia A. Hamilton

Patricia A. Hamilton, formerly of Solebury, Pa., passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.    She was the wife of the late Ronald B. Hamilton.

Patricia was born on July 17, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late William A. Campbell and Thelma P. Russell, formerly of Doylestown, Pa.

Patricia earned a master’s degree in English literature from Villanova University and was a former editor of Nursing Magazine.    At the age of 18, Patricia traveled to Paris on the Queen Mary to model with the Eileen Ford Modeling Agency.    She returned to Paris many times over her lifetime.    She enjoyed traveling, especially to Charleston, S.C., and Europe.    Patricia and her daughter, Catherine, traveled to London, Paris, Budapest, Berlin, Prague and Florence.    With Christa, Patricia was a frequent traveler to Florida and they also took trips to Ireland and England.    Patricia was an avid animal lover and had many dogs over the course of her lifetime, including her beloved Yorkshire terrier, Tidbit.    Her hobbies also included photography, reading, film, fashion and gardening.    She produced stunning photographs of exotic flowers and collected many first editions of the books of her favorite author, Charles Dickens.   

She is survived by her daughter Christine A. Conte and her husband Matthew of Jamison; daughter Catherine E. Hamilton and her husband John Burke of Washington Crossing; granddaughter Emma Hamilton Burke; sister Maryellen F. Walton and husband Robert of Doylestown; and many nieces and nephews.    She was predeceased by her sister Jane D. Drill.
