Paintings grace walls of Bell’s Tavern

Posted

“Narrative Observations,” featuring artwork by Kiyv, Ukraine, native Alla Podolsky, is on view at Bell’s Tavern in Lambertville, N.J., for the month of December.

Podolsky traces her love of psychological painting to the ancient city of Kiyv, and its iconography and rich narrative traditions. A graduate of Moore College of Art and Design and The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, her work is a combination of her European sensibilities and her American experiences.

“I am a storyteller,” said Podolsky, a member of Artists’ Gallery in Lambertville. “My work is a narrative, visually and thematically. I find stories in everything I observe, and painting is how I tell them. I try to convey experiences that are both universal and intensely personal.”

Enjoy her paintings this year, while dining at Bell’s Tavern, 183 N. Union St. Call 609-397-2226 for reservations.
