PA Human Relations Commission to make stop at Pearl S. Buck International

Posted

As part of a 67-county “Building Pennsylvania’s Beloved Community” tour, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) will be making its Bucks County stop at the Pearl S. Buck Estate 1-3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11.

Pearl S. Buck International invites all local friends, supporters, and community members to join the PHRC in engaging in an important discussion about how issues of gender, race and ethnicity impact the community.

“We invite you to join an important conversation with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission,” said Pearl S. Buck International President and CEO Christy Holland. “Pearl S. Buck International is thrilled to have been selected as the Bucks County stop for the statewide tour. We are honored that PHRC chose PSBI, the historic Green Hills Farm, and home of our founder, Pearl S. Buck.

“This is fitting as her life work represents a call to action for each of us to uphold the rights and ensure opportunity for all people. Like our founder, we believe that inclusion of all people is our hope for a more peaceful world. She stated that prejudice is a shadow not only over those marginalized, but over all of us. We aspire to remember her words that without love, there is only fear. Join us to build our beloved community in beautiful Bucks County.”

There is no cost to participate in this event, but registration is appreciated and can be completed at: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=QSiOQSgB1U2bbEf8Wpob3lShkCBBDh1EjeHkFpzsHiJUOVNTUk9GUFRPV1JQVTk1S05CTkk0WkRJMC4u.

Light refreshments will be served and guests will have the opportunity to take a Festival of Trees décor tour of the Pearl S. Buck House Museum. The event will take place in the conference center inside the Pearl S. Buck International Welcome Center, 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie.
