Our Lady of Grace receives $21,000 grant for school safety

Posted

Our Lady of Grace Catholic School (OLG) in Penndel has received a $21,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, reserved for safety improvements and security initiatives throughout the school.

The award allows OLG to place a concentrated effort on improving security and communication efforts with both students, staff and guardians. The grant will allow the school’s leadership to communicate throughout campus effectively and efficiently; whether it’s in the event of an emergency or an important daily announcement.

The School Safety and Security Grants Program was created by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2018 to provide schools under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with opportunities to become safer for students, staff, and visitors. Funding will allow the school to replace its current public address system. This award marks the second time that Our Lady of Grace was awarded the School Safety and Security grant from the Commonwealth.
