May 22 SB1 Constitutional Amendment Requiring Voters to provide photo ID in order to vote. Sponsored by Daniel Laughlin, R, 49th District, who notes that the measure passed both the state House and Senate last year and if passed again this session, it would place a proposed amendment on the ballot next election. Laughlin cites a 2021 Franklin and Marshall poll showing that 74% of respondents agreed that photo ID should be required at the polls. Proposal (not the amendment) Passed 145-56.
