On the hunt in Hunterdon

Posted

Members of VFW Posts 8390, 7921 and Toscanni American Legion Post 120 hosted their Annual Legionnaire Victor Rose Easter Egg Hunt at 320 N. Union St. Saturday March 30.

The egg hunt is named for Victor Rose, a World War II veteran who later served as Chaplin for the American Legion and was active in the Legion, VFW, Lambertville Moose, Elks and YMCA. Rose died in 2020 after coordinating the egg hunt for more than 60 years.

About 85 children under the age of 13 came for the eggs. Parents came to watch and enjoy coffee, cookies and a raffle.
