Nominees sought for awards honoring service in Bucks County

Posted

The Bucks County Bar Association is seeking nominees from the community for a trio of awards it plans to present at its 20th Anniversary Gala on April 15 at The Buck Hotel.

According to a statement from the association, nominees should be people who’ve “made a meaningful contribution to our community” in the following categories:

• Service Award — The Service Award honors someone who demonstrates “selfless altruistic service to charitable, religious, civic, governmental and/or educational organizations.”

• Veterans Award — The Veterans Award highlights “philanthropic support and selfless service to members of the military services and their families.”

• Justice Award — The Justice Award recognizes “a person, entity or organization who has advanced the ideals of social justice in the community at large” and encouraged respect for the law and the rule of law.

Jeffrey A. Liebmann, president of the Bucks County Bar Foundation, said he sees the awards as “an acknowledgment of the sacrifice and appreciation of their time, devotion and dedication for those that often go unrecognized.”

The deadline to nominate an individual or organization is Jan. 18. Nominations can be emailed to info@bucksbar.org or mailed to the Bucks County Bar Association, 135 E. State St., Doylestown PA 18901.
