Nocino & Bitters Foraging Workshop

Posted

Discover the wonders of the natural world and the incredible ways that plants provide for us during this practical foraging, Nocino & Bitters workshop.

What to Expect during a Nocino & Bitters Workshop:
We will take a foraging walk around the property to identify local wild trees and plants whose constituents improve digestion and aid in nutrient absorption. Then, we will head back to the center to create our bitters and cocktail/mocktail mixers! The first portion of the event will take place outside. Pease dress according to the weather.

During the program, we will examine tannins, primary & secondary metabolites, carminative, nervine, and antispasmodic properties of wild plants. Each participant will make and take home a jar of hand-made Nocino (Black Walnut liqueur) as well as a smaller batch of custom-blended bitters using herbs such as Mugwort, Dandelion, Bee Balm, wild mints, and more.

Workshop Details:
Admission is $65/pp. A portion of the proceeds is donated back to Bucks County Audubon Society. You must be 21+ to attend the workshop!
