Posted

Writer-photographer Patrick Lombardi and editor Vincent Parisi have delivered a collection of recipes, profiles, and photos to comfort ones foodie soul.

“The New Jersey Food Truck Cookbook” was published on Feb. 13, 2023. This month, Lombardi is meeting with readers, writers, members of the community, and fellow foodies for an intimate book-signing event during National Reading Month.

On Saturday, March 11, Lombardi is visiting Commonplace Reader in Yardley, for a book-signing event. He will sign copies of his book from 2 to 4 p.m. at the store located at 49 S. Main St. Paperback copies will be available for purchase at the store on the day of the event.

Copies of his debut humor book, “Junk Sale: Stories & Essays,” also will be available for purchase in paperback and hardcover editions. Lombardi will provide some free tasty samples from the cookbook as well.

In “The New Jersey Food Truck Cookbook,” Lombardi and Parisi, in conjunction with BestofNJ.com, present profiles of the best New Jersey food trucks, including easy-to-cook recipes from some of their most delectable meals.

These eateries on wheels offer mouthwatering favorites alongside innovative interpretations of iconic dishes.

The Jersey Roll truck and shop keeps tradition alive, slinging the Garden State staple pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich to the masses. Beach vibes and good eats are found at the Surf and Turf Truck, where the BLT lobster roll offers a twist on the coastal classic. Baking some of the best cheesecakes in the region for more than forty years, Maddalena’s opened a roving dessert truck that serves the deliciously different cheesecake on a stick.

At 11 a.m. March 18, 2023, Lombardi also will celebrate the book’s release at Mama Dude’s, an eatery featured in the book, with owner Andrew Dudich. The restaurant is located at 11 Sunnybrae Blvd., Hamilton Township, N.J.
