New Hope soccer game calls community together in honor of Robert Nagg

Posted

The ninth annual Robert Nagg Memorial Soccer Game, held May 23 in New Hope, was a huge success.

Over 70 players, both current team members and recent alumni, came out in the heat to honor their former teammate Robert Nagg, who lost his battle with brain cancer in 2013.

This year’s game was played in honor of “Team Nolan” in support of 2017 New Hope-Solebury graduate who is currently battling brain cancer. Donations from this year’s game are going to support brain tumor research at the University of Pennsylvania in Nolan Curran’s name.

In addition to competive soccer games, there was a large crowd of enthusiastic fans complete with local food trucks and a tented outdoor cafe.
