New Hope Celebrates gives community update as it prepares for PrideFest 2022

Posted

New Hope Celebrates plans to offer the full slate of Pride events for the Greater New Hope-Lambertville community and the thousands of visitors from throughout the eastern United States who have attended its Pride activities prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After more than two years of social distancing, the NHC Board members are looking forward to dusting off their dancing shoes for “Dancing in the Streets” with the community.

NHC is excited to unveil the week-long schedule of events in the coming weeks, which will include the annual Pride Parade, Pride Fair, Best Cocktail Contest, and more!

There is still time to apply to be part of the Pride Parade – the only Pride Parade that crosses through two states. Vehicles, floats and marchers are invited to strut from New Jersey into Pennsylvania. Apply at newhopecelebrates.com/pridefest/pride-parade.

NHC has received a record number of applicants, so participants can look forward to a wide variety of craft, jewelry, clothing and food vendors at the Pride Fair. More details about the Pride Fair are at newhopecelebrates.com/pridefest/pride-fair.

The PrideFest Live Music and Entertainment schedule has something for everyone with local and regional entertainers, from drag queens to singers, dancers, and musicians. View the entertainment lineup at newhopecelebrates.com/pridefest/pridefest-live.

The Best Cocktail Contest will return in 2022, featuring one of a kind cocktails from local bars and restaurants throughout New Hope and Lambertville. Patrons can try and vote for their favorite cocktails from May 7 until May 22. View participants at newhopecelebrates.com/best-cocktail-contest.

NHC is confident in running an event of this expanded scope because of its deeply committed and talented volunteer Board of Directors. The NHC Board has specific committees to oversee every PrideFest event, each chaired by a Board member and with assistance from other Board members as well as volunteers from the community. If you wish to volunteer to work at any PrideFest events, visit newhopecelebrates.com/about-nhc/volunteer or email volunteers@newhopecelebrates.com.

Attendees and participants should note that NHC is committed to following all relevant public health guidelines. NHC will continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and make adjustments as necessary. NHC encourages all Pride participants and attendees to get vaccinated (and boosted, if applicable), because they want everyone to celebrate safely.
