New Hope Arts exhibits “Works in Wood”

New Hope Arts hosts its 22nd annual juried exhibition celebrating the woodworking tradition of Bucks County, through Jan. 9.
Honoring the rich cultural heritage of woodworking while celebrating the new visions of the contemporary artists, this holiday exhibition features work by more than 50 artists who reside in the region and beyond.
A national juried show, “Works in Wood” showcases talent and innovation in fine furniture, turned vessels and sculptural forms. Edward Murphy of Buckingham, a fine craftsman and cabinet maker, selected six juror awards of equal value from the exceptional works in the exhibition:

Wall Art: Andy DiPietro - Oak Star; Fine Furniture: Glen Guarino - Desk/Lady’s Makeup Table; Sculpture/Free-Standing: Nick Cartaina - Self Bust; Turned Object/Vessel: Fred Chase Beehive; New Exhibitor: N.T. Bray - Yellow Legged Bird; Juror’s Choice: Doug Wright - Flare Stools.
“Works in Wood” is open to the public free of charge from noon to 5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, closed Christmas day. Masks are required and reservations suggested. New Hope Arts is located at 2 Stockton Ave., New Hope. For information, call 215-862-9606 or visit newhopearts.
