Neighbors in Need Now receives challenge gift

Posted

The Village Improvement Association of Doylestown (VIA) announced local residents Chris and Whitney Chandor have made a $20,000 challenge gift to the Neighbors in Need Now (3N) campaign.

The Chandors will match all donations made between now and the end of the campaign, up to a total amount of $20,000.

The 3N campaign was launched recently when the nonprofit VIA’s major fundraiser, the Bucks County Designer House & Gardens, was moved to the fall. This change impacted the VIA Welfare Committee’s ability to provide timely funding to a number of community-based organizations that normally receive VIA support.

Many of these organizations are experiencing unprecedented demands from the community as a result of drastically increased prices for basic needs such as housing, food and fuel. These needs have become even more acute since the campaign was initiated.

The VIA asks potential donors to consider this opportunity to double their assistance to the most vulnerable members of the community by making a donation in the remaining weeks of the campaign. Donations may be made at via-doylestown.org or by mailing a check to the VIA office. Visit the website for information.
