Neale Dougherty enters race for 29th District

Posted

Former Bucks County Controller Neale Dougherty has announced his run for state representative for the newly proposed 29th House District, a district he carried in his 2021 reelection campaign for controller 54.68% - 45.32% despite a historically strong Republican year.
Dougherty enters the race for the open seat with over $250,000 cash on hand.
Dougherty released the following statement upon the announcement of his campaign:
“ As a lifelong Bucks County resident I know first hand the values and priorities of families within the 29th district. As a former New Hope-Solebury School Board president, I fought to ensure our kids were provided a quality education that prepared them for success in every stage of life and as Bucks County controller I held local government accountable on behalf of the people of this community.”

He says he sill use his experience to get the job done in Harrisburg on the issues of good schools, good jobs and unity over division.
Dougherty became the first Democratic controller in Bucks County in over 40 years.
