Three students at Northampton Community College (NCC), including Mark Petrik of the Bethleham Campus, have been named as 2023 Coca-Cola Academic Team Scholars.
Gold Scholars will receive a $1,500 scholarship and Silver Scholars will receive a $1,250 scholarship.
Petrik is a Silver Scholar.
Selection as a Coca-Cola Scholar was based on scores the students earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,400 applications were received this year. This program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and is administered by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver, and 50 Bronze Scholars with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Each scholar also receives a commemorative medallion.
